Folks, are you sitting down?!?! We have someone who is coming back for a second visit already on the house! Truly amazing and surreal right now. I’m keeping the fingers crossed!
Today was an interesting day at the HD household. I didn’t get a chance to get everything I wanted done because the little princess made it tough today. She is at that stage in her life where she wants to help and imitate everything that everyone does, but sometimes it gets in the way.
I was trying to clean the kitchen to make sure it was looking good for the second visit but for as much as my daughter tried to help, she made me work 10 times more on stuff that I could have gotten cleaned the first time around. It is days like this though that makes me realize it seems like yesterday that I was able to hold her in one arm and now she is growing up right before my eyes. I know, I’m being a little sentimental but deal with it.
My wife is thinking about signing her up for soccer, which I must admit that I truly hate. I have never liked or got into that sport, but I guess it is good for kids to do. I did it when I was younger, but I’m glad I never took a liking to it. I’m not sure where she is going to play, but I guess there is a 3-year old soccer program at one of the YMCA’s around Pittsburgh. It will be great to see her run around and play, but it will kill me to deal with going and watching freaking soccer.
She is also going to be going to preschool soon so that will be interesting. It is only for a couple hours a day, but that is a big step. She will be with kids that are older than her so I’m anxious to see how that interaction will go. She is so outgoing that I’m sure she will fit right in, but this is all new to me so I’m trying to figure it all out.
Tonight is movie night at the HD house so it will hopefully be relaxing. I think the movie is going to be something that my wife and I both enjoy, rather than a Disney flick. I will be back soon…
